Instructions for Cub Scout Pack 120 Donut Sunday

Cub Scout Pack 120 only has one major fund raising event each year (the pancake breakfast), and we supplement this with the Sunday Donut social. Responsibility for running this rotates among the parents in the pack. Thank you for supporting the pack in helping run this.

We ask that 3 families support the Sunday operation.

• One runs the coffee, juice, and milk.
• Pick up orange juice and milk from the market.
• One runs the donuts (pick up the donuts from Simons located at Palo Verde & Stearns
• One operates the cash box and keys to the hall
• Pick up the cash box from Cynthia San Jose contact # 562-496-0968
• Pick up hall keys from Armando Alejos contact #562-377-3378
• All three help setup and cleanup.

Here are some guidelines on major activities you need to accomplish.

Setup. Plan on being in the Gym no later than 9am. You can choose amongst yourselves if you want to setup earlier and attend mass, or simply setup and attend mass after you're ready. The light switch is located to the left as you walk in the main door to the hall.

• Turn on lights (hold the Switch for 60 seconds, and to turn off too).
• Start Coffee no later than 9am - it takes 45-50 minutes
  • Fill large coffee pot to top mark (full pot)
  • Add 1/4 inch of coffee grounds to metal filter. Coffee is in gray Storage Locker as you walk in to the boy’s bathroom.
• Setup small coffee pot for hot water
• Setup 12-14 round tables, with 6-8 chairs per table. Put tablecloths on.
• Get condiments from gray Storage Locker. Use the smallest key on key chain. Get cups, sugar, creamer, napkins, spoons, stir sticks, trash bags
• Setup 4 long tables to hold donuts, milk, and juice. Put tablecloths on them.
• Layout donuts on 5-6 platters. Just before church lets out, fill milk and juice cups

Cleanup. This is important - don't get us in trouble by leaving the place messy.

• Clean tablecloths, fold, and put away.
• Wash donut trays, coffee urn, and anything else. Dry and put them away
• Empty all trashcans, and take trash to the trash bin in parking lot.
• Fold chairs, put onto chair carrier and put under stage. Do same for tables.
• Turn off lights and lock up.
